A one-pot aqueous synthesis of high-luminescent thiol-capped CdTe and its bioapplication.

Our study described a synthesis of thiol-capped high-luminescent (quantum yield as high as 80%) CdTe quantum dots (QDs) with a facile method in aqueous phase. The fluorescence of the as-prepared CdTe QDs could be tuned from 500 nm to 650 nm. More importantly, after beta-actin conjugation, the CdTe QDs were successfully conjugated with live cells to observe their configurations, demonstrating th...

One-pot aqueous synthesis of sub-10 nm responsive nanogels.

A strategy involving free radical copolymerization of a difunctional oligomer and a small-molecule crosslinker to give sub-10 nm nanogels is proposed. These nanogels can adapt to surrounding temperatures and regulate the release of a preloaded model anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil.

A Modified-One Pot Synthesis of Diaminoglyoxime

The one pot reaction of glyoxal and hydroxylamine hydrochloride in aqueous sodium hydroxide was found to be a safe and inexpensive method for the preparation of diaminoglyoxime. By increasing stoichiometric ratio of the hydroxylamine hydrochloride and decreasing the solvent volume, the product yield increased considerably (~ 70%).

The facile one-pot synthesis of shell cross-linked micelles in aqueous solution at high solids.

Following pioneering work by Wooley and co-workers in 1996, there has been increasing interest in shell cross-linked (SCL) micelles.1 In particular, recent efforts have focused on the synthesis of SCL micelles that have either hollow cores or hydrophilic cores. Hollow SCL micelles have been prepared by chemical degradation of the core-forming block,2,3 whereas hydrophilic-core SCL micelles have...

Pot economy and one-pot synthesis

The one-pot synthesis of a target molecule in the same reaction vessel is widely considered to be an efficient approach in synthetic organic chemistry. In this review, the characteristics and limitations of various one-pot syntheses of biologically active molecules are explained, primarily involving organocatalytic methods as key tactics. Besides catalysis, the pot-economy concepts presented he...
